They come in high gloss and matt finish. Although there are others like the water-resistant acrylic clear lacquer, mainly in satin and Matt finishes too, other finishes are available on request.

I should say this; depending on your budget and preference, this product finishes has to be done accordingly and this is where most times our professionalism and expertise come in to play. You sure want to carry us along with this aspect.

Gloss furniture comes with a highly shiny finish which is very reflective.  While Matt furniture come with a flat finish with no sheen or reflective properties on it. Matt boards have this warm look while the gloss boards have a louder look. Also, I should include this; the gloss boards are more expensive than the Matt furniture.

We offer manufacturer defect warranty for 12

months. After the warranty period, we encourage our customers to still reach out to us, should they have any defect aside normal wear and tear as a result of years of usage. The essence is also to advise them on how to salvage their product rather than make new ones.

There are lots of differences between these two, so we would just share a few.

First of all, let’s note this: the board Nigerians refer to as HDF is not HDF, It is laminated plywood and not HDF as the case may be.

HDF (High-Density Fibreboard) is an engineered product like MDF (Medium Density Fibreboard) in that it is a man-made composite panel product that is manufactured from compressed wood fibers. It is a stronger, harder product than MDF with a typical density of up to 900kg/m3. Whereas the MDF is made up of wood wastage fibers glued together with a resin or glued under heat and pressure.

The MDF is similar to particle board popularly known as MFC but denser. MDF has a density of 600-800 kg/m³.

MDF does not have good strength when compared to HDF boards, so make sure it is not used in applications where a heavy load is expected to be borne by the board. While HDF has good strength and vice versa

MDF boards also do not have very good holding strength for nails and screws. If a furniture piece needs to be moved frequently or dismantled and then rebuilt frequently then the MDF board might lose the grip on the accessories.

While the HDF doesn’t have the above issues with accessories

Interestingly, Carpenters find it easy to work with MDF than the laminated plywood.

As the name implies, the HDF has high resistance to water while the MDF has a low resistance to water. So in high humid areas, HDF might be your best choice.

MDF is less expensive than HDF

In summary, HDF and MDF are completely different materials for different purposes. Which is where we cabinets manufacturers come in. There are lots of misinformation out there about these two, but we are hoping with this little explanation, you would be guided accordingly when making material choices for your cabinets. Remember you can always call us on +2348055208963 if you need more information.

With a small amount of care, your furniture will stay in premium condition.

Our lacquer-type finished furniture needs minimal care. Water and alcohol will not affect the finish and can be wiped up with a damp cloth. The finish is quite durable, but as with any finish, care should be taken to avoid scratching and abrasive materials.

For polishing your furniture we recommend only non-wax polishes

Some of the board and wood changes color naturally from daylight. With some woods, such as cherry, 90% of the change in color occurs in the first six to twelve months. In the first few months the change can be so dramatic that if you leave a vase or coaster in the same position in direct sunlight, it will actually shadow the outline of the shape. Therefore, wait several months before leaving any object in a permanent position on your furniture. But, keep in mind, if you do have a shadow on your furniture, just leave it uncovered and it will all even out.

Hot items will damage the finish and should not be placed directly on the finished surface. Extremely hot items will cause damage even if used with a placemat. Therefore, extremely hot items should never be placed on the finished surface of the furniture.

A lot of clients ask this question when they expect us to come to take measurements of the spaces we plan to install the cabinets.

I should say this; apart from door installation measurements that should happen just before plastering to enable us to get the door sub-frames ready.

The cabinets measurements should Ideally be measured after tilling but experience has shown that you may want to carry us along before the tilling for some advice to make sure the standard measurements are adhered to, some clients have little or no knowledge about this things so we advise you carry us along much earlier to avoid having to break tiles or walls to cater for insufficient space or erect a wall to accommodate a cabinet or something that should have been taking care of before tilling. Although this shouldn’t be part of our scope because of the issues that come up during the actual installation, we advise that you carry us along except you have a very knowledgeable architect.
